For this standard, I have selected a "virtual
learning climate" as my performance indicator. I created the Fayette
County Schools Forums web presence for the purpose of supporting
a variety of classroom practices and learner goals through online
communications. The forum is a traditional threaded discussion
environment, with embedded helps and teacher resources. I installed
the delivery software itself, designed and implemented almost all of
the support structure and resources, and (appropriate to this
criteria) participate regularly in the forums as the administrator,
and hence provide "...supportive [and] constructive
feedback" for student participation.

The actual student performance expectations are,
of course, handled by the teachers themselves. The website provides
several resources in support of their needs, including use examples
and ideas, assessment rubrics, and forum use guidelines. |
